Father John Knott is a priest of St. Cuthbert of the Cudgel. He was one of the band of priests who founded the original mission in Quaalsten. The High Abbot of Chedel gave the priests the task to establish a church in the forest over a decade ago.

Father John answers directly to the Bishop Johannson, the High Priest at the mission. Father John works directly with the public and enjoys adventuring with his friends. Father John does not suffer fools gladly. Foolish behavior usually brings his cudgel crashing down on the head of the offender. Chip Browntooth's head usually bares a knot or two from their long religious discussions. Father John once healed the hands of the Dwarf, Baldar Rockwood, from a life crippling injury.
