Wei Kang was born to a peasant woman and an outsider. The outsider left the woman and after
the child was born the woman committed ritual suicide. The child was taken to the monastary
on the mountain at the age of five. There the he was trained as a monk of Xan-Yae.
When Wei Kang passed his final test he was sent away from the monastary to travel the lands
teaching the disiplines of mind over matter and the wisdom of Xan-Yae to the people. Wei Kang
traveled far and wide becoming a renouned philosopher. The local lords of the land, feeling
threatened by Wei Kang's popularity, plotted to make him an outlaw in order to justify ordering
him killed. Soon lies and rumors began to be planted, but these alone were not enough to turn
the people against their beloved hero. Soon another Wei Kang, an imposter, appeared and began
committing evil acts in the name of Wei Kang until the name Wei Kang Chi was feared and dispised
by all throughout the land. Wei Kang was sentenced to death on sight and was forced to flee.
Wei Kang now travels through strange and barbarian lands ever seeking knowledge and enlightenment.
